1. Any app that allows users to create an account must also let them request account deletion, covering both the account and its associated user data. 2. You must provide an in-app path to deletion that is prominent and intuitive (for example, inside account settings), not buried or hard to find. 3. You must also provide a functional web resource (link, form, or support email) where users can request deletion without reinstalling the app - it must reference the app or developer name exactly as shown on your Play Store listing. 4. All user data tied to the account is in scope for deletion (personal info, payment data, device data, etc.); retaining data is allowed only for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance, and must be clearly disclosed in your privacy policy. 5. If third-party service providers process user data, delete it from your own servers and request the providers to do the same; complete deletion requests within a reasonably quick period. 6. Exemptions are narrow: permanently private and enterprise device management apps are exempt, and non-mobile surfaces (web, Android TV, Wear OS) still require the web resource but not an in-app path. Non-compliance can lead to enforcement actions up to app removal from Google Play.
